Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions we're asked most, grouped by service.
Regular House Cleaning
Will I have the same cleaner each time?
Yes. We match you with one regular cleaner. If they’re ever off, we send a briefed replacement and let you know in advance.
Do I need to be at home?
No. Many customers give us a key or a key safe code. Keys are coded and stored securely.
Is there a contract?
No long contracts. You can pause, change or cancel your regular clean with 48 hours’ notice.
Do you bring your own equipment and products?
Yes, we bring everything we need, including professional vacuums and eco-friendly products. If you’d prefer us to use your own products, just let us know.
How often should a regular cleaner come?
Weekly suits busy families, homes with pets and anyone who likes things consistently tidy. Fortnightly works well for smaller homes and people who keep on top of daily tidying. Monthly visits are possible, but each one then becomes closer to a deep clean.
How long does each visit take?
Most visits take 2–4 hours, depending on the size of your home, the number of bathrooms and any pets. We’ll suggest a visit length when we quote, and the first visit often takes a little longer.
Should I tidy up before my cleaner comes?
A quick tidy of surfaces and floors helps, because your cleaner can then spend their time cleaning rather than moving clutter.
Are your cleaners insured and vetted?
Yes. Every cleaner is DBS-checked, trained in-house and covered by our public liability insurance.
What if I'm not happy with the clean?
Tell us within 72 hours and we’ll come back and re-clean anything that isn’t right, free of charge. That’s our re-clean guarantee.
Deep Cleaning
How long does a deep clean take?
Most 3-bedroom homes take a team of two around 5–6 hours. We’ll give you an estimate when you book.
What's the difference between a deep clean and a regular clean?
A regular clean maintains your home. A deep clean goes further: inside cupboards, behind and under furniture, descaling, skirting boards, doors and light fittings.
Do I need to be at home?
No. Lots of customers leave a key. We’ll message you when we arrive and when we finish.
Do you bring your own equipment and products?
Yes, we bring everything we need, including professional vacuums and eco-friendly products. If you’d prefer us to use your own products, just let us know.

Oven Cleaning
How long does an oven clean take?
A single oven usually takes 1.5–2 hours and a double oven 2.5–3 hours. Range cookers take around 3–4 hours, and adding the hob or extractor adds about 30 minutes each. Heavy carbon build-up adds time, so we’ll confirm an estimate when you book.
Can I use my oven straight away?
Yes. Our products are non-caustic and fume-free, so your oven is ready to use when we leave.
Do you clean AGAs?
Yes. AGAs need to be switched off the night before so they’re cool when we arrive.
What happens during an oven clean?
We protect the floor and worktops, then take out the racks, trays and fan cover and soak them in the heated dip tank in our van. While they soak, we clean the inside of the oven by hand, take the door apart to clean between the glass panels, and clean the seals, knobs and handles. Everything is rinsed, refitted and checked before we leave.
How should I prepare for an oven clean?
Avoid using the oven for a few hours beforehand so it’s cool when we arrive, and take out any pans, trays or food stored in it or in the drawer underneath. It helps to tell us the make and model when you book, along with anything that isn’t working properly, such as a loose door or a faulty light.
Are your cleaners insured and vetted?
Yes. Every cleaner is DBS-checked, trained in-house and covered by our public liability insurance.

Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning
How long do carpets take to dry?
Usually 4–6 hours, depending on the carpet and ventilation.

Are your products safe for pets and children?
Yes. We use pet-safe and child-safe solutions.

End of Tenancy Cleaning
Do you guarantee I'll get my deposit back?
We can’t control the whole deposit — it can be affected by damage or rent arrears — but we guarantee the cleaning. If any cleaning items appear on the check-out report within 72 hours, we’ll return and fix them free.
Should the property be empty?
Ideally, yes. An empty property lets us clean inside every cupboard and behind furniture. If items are still there, let us know when you book.
Do you work with letting agents?
Yes. We follow agent and inventory checklists and can invoice agents or landlords directly.
How long does it take?
A 2-bedroom flat typically takes a team of two around 4–5 hours. Larger homes take longer.

Move-In Cleaning
Can you clean on the day I get my keys?
Usually, yes. Book as early as you can, and we can collect keys from the agent if you arrange it.
Is it the same as an end of tenancy clean?
It’s very similar — a full top-to-bottom clean of an empty property — but focused on getting the home ready for you rather than for an inventory check.
Do you bring your own equipment and products?
Yes, we bring everything we need, including professional vacuums and eco-friendly products. If you’d prefer us to use your own products, just let us know.

After Builders Cleaning
When should I book the clean?
Once all trades have finished, including painting and flooring. Dust settles for a few days after work stops, so some customers book a second light clean.
Do you work for builders?
Yes. We offer handover and sparkle cleans for builders and developers, with invoicing on account.
How long does an after builders clean take?
Most homes take a day. A single room after decorating can often be done in a few hours, while a whole-house refurbishment may need a team for a full day or more. Photos of the work help us give you an accurate estimate.
Is an after builders clean the same as a deep clean?
They overlap, but an after builders clean also deals with construction dust, paint splashes, plaster marks, adhesive and protective films, which a normal deep clean doesn’t cover.
Why does dust keep coming back after building work?
Construction dust is very fine and keeps drifting down from ledges, light fittings and vents for several days. A light follow-up clean about a week later usually deals with it.
